Angel Flight East has one mission: to help as many patients in need as possible. For this reason, we love partnering with other non-profit organizations that are doing amazing work. One of our favorite organizations is Love From Liam.
Love From Liam “is a 501c3 volunteer nonprofit that consists of a community of friends, family, and corporate sponsors that have come together to help raise funds to fight Retinoblastoma”. This incredible organization was “inspired by Liam Spingler, who was diagnosed at his 6-month check-up with bi-lateral (both eyes) Retinoblastoma”.
Love From Liam’s website explains that “treatments can last for years and include monthly exams under anesthesia, MRI, chemotherapy, laser and cryotherapies”. To lend a helping hand to the families of children fighting Retinoblastoma, “Love From Liam Inc. raises funds in Liam’s name to help other children and their families fighting this aggressive and persistent cancer”.
This past Christmas, we were honored to be sponsored by Love From Liam. This kind and generous donation has helped us further our mission of serving patients in need of transportation assistance. Our partnership with Love From Liam has also allowed us to refer AFE passengers fighting Retinoblastoma to their organization, so that patients can benefit from the impactful resources that Love From Liam can offer. We strongly believe that when non-profit organizations work together, our ability to serve patients is greatly elevated. As the famous quote by John Wesley goes, “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can”.
To send some AFE love back to Liam, we recently donated to Love From Liam’s 4th Annual Golf Outing which will be taking place on August 20th. For more information about this fun event, visit the attached link.
